Pat Cross Bio

Pat was born and raised in Illinois and received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Education Degrees from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.

Pat has been a member of two Rotary Clubs.  She has served on several committee/officer capacities, including club president (1999-2000), of the Rotary Club of Hamilton County, IL where she was a member from 1994-2001.  Pat was inducted into the Rotary Club of Madison, AL in 2001 where she continues as a member.  She has held a variety of committee/officer positions including club president (2003-2004). Pat was selected “Rotarian of the Year” (2004-2005) by her club and awarded the “Four Avenues of Service Award” (2009-2010).  At the district level, Pat has served as an Assistant Governor, Assistant Governor Coordinator, Membership Chair, Secretary and District Trainer along with several committee positions. She was instrumental in the formation of a Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program for Rotary District 6860 where she served as event chair from 2008-2010.  Pat is a member of the Paul Harris Society and her husband, Roger, is a Paul Harris Fellow.  In 2015, Pat and Roger received Rotary’s Major Donor Award.  In 2011, Pat was the recipient of the prestigious Rotary District 6860 Tom Milford Service Above Self Award.

Pat is a member of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild, Madison Hospital Women’s Guild and volunteers in many activities including those where her grandchildren are involved.  She is a graduate of Huntsville-Madison County Leadership, Masters Class 2 and a day leader in Masters Classes 4-7.

Pat is married to Roger Cross, a mechanical engineer.  They have two daughters, Kelley Grant, an electrical engineer/project manager residing in Madison, AL and Whitney Milam, a pre-school teacher in Peoria, IL, and she and Roger enjoy four grandchildren, two boys and two girls.
