Joe hails from the Rotary Club of Southern Frederick County. Congratulations to Joe!

The Rotary Club of Carroll Creek, lead sponsors of the annual Oktoberfest at the Frederick County Fairgrounds, recognized the Rotary Club of Smoketown, Brunswick, Maryland for the club’s pilot initiative staffing the strudel and pretzel station at the Rotary Club’s signature special event fundraiser this fall.

Carroll Creek Rotarian Ashley Waters, chair of the 2019 Oktoberfest, presented the Smoketown Rotary Club a $500 check in recognition of the club’s volunteer staffing at this year’s event. The Smoketown Rotary Club has committed to managing the strudel and pretzel station in 2020.

Pictured are (L-R): Smoketown Rotary Club President Ernie Stepoulos and Carroll Creek Rotary Club member Ashley Waters. Ashley was nominated as President-designee of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek for RY 2022-2023 (she will be formally elected on January 22nd);
