Merced Rotary Park

By Brenda J. Callahan-Johnson on Tuesday, March 9, 2021

CALL TO ACTION

As many of you are aware, the City of Merced is currently in the planning process to name at least 2 new parks within the City of Merced. Merced Rotary is asking that one of the parks be named “Rotary Park” in recognition of our significant contributions to the city and our 100 years of service. Attached you will find the narrative we submitted that will also give you ideas to highlight in an email.

Please take 10 minutes and write the city council members and City Manager asking them to take our application seriously and name one of the parks Rotary Park. Rotary parks are included in almost every one of our surrounding communities. Have your friends and neighbors do the same. Know someone who benefited from a Rotary Scholarship? Rotary program? Have them write an email as well. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN WITHOUT OUR ADVOCACY!
