It's always 5 o'clock somewhere, and on Friday April 24, from 5 pm - 5:30 pm, you can join us at your favorite dive bar or in the comfort of your home as we learn from one of the best "Mixologists," Freddy Ramirez from Reynolds, Lake Oconee. Get ready for some great cocktails and plan to have some fun at our virtual happy hour! Drink recipes will be emailed to you after you register.

Wine, everywhere there's wine, but where can you get a great Georgia Fruit country wine during the virtual conference? Look no further! On Saturday, April 24, from 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm, join some of the ladies of Rotary virtually from Sweet Acre Farms Winery (7584 Bill Wilson Rd. Alto, GA 30510) for some education and wine tasting. Matt Vrahiotes, owner and operator, will share his story about becoming the first winery in Hall County. While revealing what makes his wines so unique, he’ll guide us through a tasting as well as give us the grand tour! Grab a bottle so we can taste together. Order online at www.sweetacrefarms.com.

On Saturday, April 24, from 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm, grab your beach towel, sunglasses, favorite Hawaiian shirt, and join us for our virtual Beach Bash. Join Gainesville Rotarian, Chef Mike Giles, and Gary Black, the Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture, in the Georgia Grown Kitchen as they cook a traditional Low Country Boil. We’re bringing the outdoor, low country seafood boil experience inside and sizing it for the stove top and a meal for two (or a few more)! Focusing on locally sourced food, this meal is one that that will satisfy your palate while treating you to the captivating history of the dish. You'll also learn about the farmers and fishermen who supply the ingredients.

We will provide an article on the history of this culturally important cooking tradition and a detailed list of ingredients and equipment needed to prepare everything in your home kitchen. You'll be ready to cook along with Chef Mike and Gary when the Beach Bash is broadcast live. The recipe will be emailed to you after you register.

For those who are allergic to shrimp or shellfish, optional ingredients will be suggested that allow you to still enjoy the Low Country Boil experience.

Plan to spend some time in the virtual House of Friendship this year! The HOF contains rooms of individual clubs. Enter each one to view their posted videos. You'll learn more about other clubs throughout the district and their amazing projects. As you work your way around the HOF booths, you'll also find answers to virtual scavenger hunt clues for a chance to win great prizes!

While in the HOF, don’t forget to visit the Beach Towel Competition booth and vote for your favorite beach towel! The deadline is at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April, 23. Don't wait to vote.
