Smoketown Rotary Leadership Transition

By Abbie Lynn Ricketts on Thursday, July 1, 2021
Smoketown Rotary Club installation of officers coincided with Rotary clubs globally in transitioning leadership roles July 1 for the 2021-2022 year. Jennifer Lolli-Hall will serve as the incoming Rotary President, Lois Jarman will continue as Secretary, Jenny Diaz as Treasurer, Christopher Mourlas as Sergeant-at Arms, and Sue Kelley as Foundation Chair. Ernie Stepoulos will serve as Past President. The installation was held in First Baptist Church live and on ZOOM. Warm wishes are extended to President Lolli-Hall for success in her coming year of service. Pictured is Jennifer Lolli-Hall, Smoketown Rotary President 2021-2022.

Many heartfelt thanks to outgoing leader, Ernie Stepoulos. Stepoulos led the club through the difficult times of COVID-19 and kept it moving forward. Among his many accomplishments is his highly successful effort to organize the BHS Interact Club.

Committees are forming. If you would like to serve on a committee, please contact President Jennifer Lolli-Hall. Opportunities are available!

Canal Stewards Program
Smoketown Rotary Club held a second Canal Stewardship
day on June 19 at its adopted area, the Brunswick Boat Ramp. Interact members joined several Rotary volunteers to clean up trash, remove overgrowth, and check for any items to be reported to park dispatch.
Kara Graves created a promotion for the BHS Interact Club which is posted on the club's Facebook page.

Congratulations to new official Canal Stewards, Charlie Harris and Arch Hodges who completed training in early June.
