Meet Michaela Botha

Welcome our new member - Michaela Botha (sponsored by Pauline Gubbles)

Michaela Botha moved to Austin 5 years ago. Attracted to Austin by the fact that her parents (Matt & Pauline Gubbels) had moved here , Michaela lives in Travis Heights with her husband, Buks, and her Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Zoe. She is more than proud of following in her mother, Pauline’s, footsteps by being actively involved in and dedicated to Rotary and is looking forward to the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in the same Rotary Club here in Austin.
Michaela was previously a member of the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary group in Santa Cruz, CA.

Michaela has over 25 years’ experience in high tech product marketing and product management, and is currently an Operating Partner of Aventi Group, an on-demand product marketing consultancy. She differentiates herself and her engagements by bringing a relentless focus on execution--delivering top quality work, on schedule and working to have some fun along the way.
Michaela’s north star is to design and produce extraordinary solutions that solve a real problem the customer or prospect is experiencing. Michaela started her career in high tech working in user experience for IBM, Apple, and HP. These positions solidified a foundation in what it takes to deliver exceptional customer experiences. From there, she moved into product marketing and product management with positions at SAP, Symantec, Calico Commerce, Sun, SalesLogix, Sage Software, and Apple.
Michaela spent 25 years in Silicon Valley – South Bay, Peninsula, and San Francisco proper.

Originally from New Mexico, she received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University and her Masters in Cognitive Psychology from New Mexico State University.
