Disaster Aid in FloridaBy Lynn O'Connor on Friday, September 30, 2022 1. CAT 4 Hurricane hits Southern Florida. Massive storm surges and rain totals approaching 20 inches are forecast across parts of the peninsula prompting flash flood warnings across Central Florida while more than 2.5 million people were without power across the state by 5 a.m. 2. DAUSA has 3 Response trailers prepositioned Florida. Louisiana and Texas Teams are on the way. Rescue Boats, Backhoe, Chainsaw and Muck and Gut teams are part of the response. East Coast teams on Standby as IAN moves north. Our teams will be bringing in supplies of gas, water, generators tools etc., plus supplies to be self-sustaining for 2 weeks. Our teams of course will be there much longer but supply runs will be setup by then. 3.
