Fall Foundation Summit

By Lynn O'Connor on Thursday, September 22, 2022

The Rotary Foundation is one of the essential elements of Rotary, providing the funding for the humanitarian work of Rotarians in our local and global communities. One of the most prestigious and effective foundations in the world, the Rotary Foundation has the power to transform your community, attract and engage Rotarians, and shape Rotary’s brand.

Join us for the Fall Assembly and Foundation Summit on 5 November 2022, 10 am - 2:30 pm (PT) at Spokane Valley Tech, 115 S. University Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206. Discounted hotel accommodations are being identified for those who wish or to arrive the evening prior.

It’s finally time for us to come back together and enjoy the fellowship and partnership we’ve always enjoyed as Rotarians. Let’s learn from each other how the Rotary Foundation supports our efforts and share your ideas for harnessing the power of the Rotary Foundation to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.

Registration is open and you can register here.

Peer-to-Peer online Membership sessions

By Doreen Fox Kelsey on Sunday, September 25, 2022
We Missed You at the Membership Development Peer-to-Peer Sessions I and II

There have been two membership development peer-to-peer sessions offered this year. The first was held on August 30 and the second on September 15. There were 10-13 persons in attendance at each session, and while this represents a small number of clubs, the smaller attendance did make it easy for a good level of interaction and sharing of information.

You can view and share the videos before they expire in the "Read More"

PETS!

By Lynn O'Connor on Saturday, September 24, 2022
No, this is not about your kitten or puppy ( although I'd love to talk to you about them!).

It's time to get your President-Elects prepared for PETS (President-Elect Training Seminar). You must attend PETS to be President of your club, and being President of your clubs is wonderful in so many ways! If you don't have your President-Elect (PE) selected yet, expect to hear from Governor-Elect Kimber Gates. It's her job to assist you in identifying and then registering your PE for the awesome experience of PETS.

Disaster Aid in Florida

By Lynn O'Connor on Friday, September 30, 2022

1. CAT 4 Hurricane hits Southern Florida. Massive storm surges and rain totals approaching 20 inches are forecast across parts of the peninsula prompting flash flood warnings across Central Florida while more than 2.5 million people were without power across the state by 5 a.m.

2. DAUSA has 3 Response trailers prepositioned Florida. Louisiana and Texas Teams are on the way. Rescue Boats, Backhoe, Chainsaw and Muck and Gut teams are part of the response. East Coast teams on Standby as IAN moves north. Our teams will be bringing in supplies of gas, water, generators tools etc., plus supplies to be self-sustaining for 2 weeks. Our teams of course will be there much longer but supply runs will be setup by then.

3. A Storm like this means very little infrastructure is working for some time so everything has to be trucked in making response and recovery more difficult as with Hurricane IDA & Laura.

4.The Survivors and Community will need extensive help and support as will our teams Please donate any amount

WE ARE 100% VOLUNTEERS
