New Meeting Location Starts This Week!By Julie W. Nee on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 Effective THIS FRIDAY, meetings will be held at the Hyatt House Rea Farms (9930 Sandy Rock Place, Charlotte) at the usual time, 7:30am-8:30am, with social time and time to grab breakfast if you wish to purchase it, prior to the meeting. This change was going to be made beginning in 2023 after the board approved this change at our last board meeting. However, the Home2Suites had some unforeseen circumstances surface, and hotel management asked if we could help them with an earlier venue switch. In support of part of our 4 Way Test "Will it build goodwill and better friendship", this was an easy call to make. Regardless of rumors you may hear (or have fun creating) that we got kicked out, the management and staff at Home2Suites enjoyed having us each week. Really, they said this. AND to back it up, the Hyatt House is going to lock in our current room rental rate for all of 2023. Yea!! For those who want breakfast in the morning, I will work with the Hyatt to create coupons you can purchase for $12 each. Please be patient as we work out any bugs with this new venue. There should be ample parking in the hotel lot. If not, there are parking spots along Sandy Rock Place. Do not park in the apartment spaces or you will likely not find your vehicle there after the meeting. The apartment tows violators quickly.
Welcome Michael ReddingtonBy Julie W. Nee on Wednesday, November 30, 2022![](https://www.dacdb.com/Accounts/7680/ezStory/193181/MikeReddington2021_og.JPG) Michael Reddington is an executive resource, Certified Forensic Interviewer, President of InQuasive, Inc. and the author of The Disciplined Listening Method. He spent over a decade conducting investigations and travelling the world teaching interrogation techniques to federal agents, law enforcement officers, private sector investigators and human resources professionals – earning the Outstanding Contributions award from Homeland Security along the way. Michael transitioned to educating business leaders after arriving at two key realizations: * First, the best leaders and the best interrogators capitalize on the same two core skills: Vision and influence * Second, the cognitive processes that lead interrogation suspects to say “I did it”, customers to say “I’ll buy it” and employees to say “I’ll do it” are essentially identical. * These realizations led Michael to create The Disciplined Listening Method by integrating research and best practices from across the spectrum of business communications with the world’s leading non-confrontational interview and interrogation techniques. CEO’s, sales leaders, and Human Resources leaders rely on Michael for skills, techniques and perspectives that reduce missed opportunities and increase commitments to action in all of their high value interactions. Michael has facilitated over 1,500 sessions and educated over 15,000 participants from over 50 countries. His insights have been featured in over 100 articles and interviews in outlets including Forbes, Fast Company, Authority Magazine, Real Leaders, and beyond. Michael’s book, The Disciplined Listening Method: How A Certified Forensic Interviewer Unlocks Hidden Value In Every Conversation, was published on Per Capita press in 2022 and represents a thoroughly researched and illustrated approach for enhancing your strategic observation and persuasive communication skill sets. Please join me in welcoming Michael, as he is here to teach us how to use the truth to our advantage.

It was a fast-paced spaghetti and chicken serving experience. Our club has served dinner each month for all of 2022. As always, those we served and employees at the shelter appreciated our help with this meal.
