Two Paul Harris Awards?
Indeed. Receiving two (yes two) Paul Harris awards was member
Steve Tharinger. Steve received both his 7th and 8th PH recognition.
Congratulations to Steve!

Sen.
Kevin Van Wege is one of 49 Washington state senators.
This is the year we had a four-month legislative session (vs three-month session). While there was far too much to cover in a short period of time, Kevin certainly gave us some headlines from his side of the house.

Moving across to the opposite side of the capitol building is the House of Representatives. Rep.
Mike Chapman likewise offered additional color on debates and important bills that passed in Olympia this year.

District 24's Rep.
Steve Tharinger had significant role as Chair of the House Capital Budget Committee.
In fact, Mike Chapman credited Representative Tharinger as a major player in much of the increased funding back to the North Olympic Peninsula for major projects.
In Chapman's words, "having someone chair this important committee from our district is highly unusual. In fact, this has never happened before."

After a few minutes from each, the balance of the meeting was for Q&A.
Our club even agreed to extend the meeting a bit longer due to the rare opportunity of having all three of our legislators at one single time.
