Walt's Words of WisdomHello Rotarians: This week we are talking bourbon with Brittany Penny, creator of The IX Bourbon! I know you will want to hear from her, and there just might be a bourbon tasting in the mix! We will also be hearing from two of our graduating Leadership Fellows - Matt Riggle and Taylor Davis - and welcoming two new participants into the program.
Next week we will have our representative in Congress, the Honorable Morgan McGarvey, as our speaker. This is also our leadership transition meeting – which we will dispatch with energy, speed and maybe a couple of laughs! We will fill the house. For those of you who register before next Monday's noon deadline, you get TWO tickets in the fish bowl for our last door prize drawing of the year: a hard to find bottle of Weller Reserve, donated by former Louisville Rotarian Robert Chatham. So come and see and hear and be heard! Meetings that highlight community leaders like Mr. McGarvey are part of the reason that you joined Rotary.

Re:Center Ministries Dinner: June 28By Larry Sloan Our fourth Wednesday monthly meal at Re:Center Ministries will be next Wednesday, June 28th at 5:30pm. Please join us to set up the meal at 5:00 pm. Typically, I bring meat loaf, scalloped potatoes and steamed vegetables. Others supply the soft drinks, bread/rolls, salad and desserts of fruit pies.
The men we serve are going through the LifeChange program recovering from addiction. Those of us who do this regularly always feel like we get more out of it than the effort we put into it. Our club has supported this program with funds and volunteers since 2015. We would love to see some new faces! Contact me at larry.sloan@yahoo.com or David Snyder at davids@ndhc.org for more information or to sign up.
