to Purdue University in 1972 and has a B.S. (1966) from DePauw; a Ph.D. (1970) from Illinois; and a P.Doc. (1972) from California. Dr. Byrn will be introduced by PAUL ZIEMER, Program Coordinator for the month of January.

action regarding these tardy Rotarians. SALVATION ARMY BELL RINGING: ANN PIECHOTA, Chair, and JERRY MC CARTHY, Vice Chair, reported that "Rotarian Bell Ringers' collected $5,073.62 at the kettles on Saturday,
December 19, 1998. DAVE LANDGREBE, Treasurer, Lafayette Rotary Foundation reported that as of Monday, December 28,1998 Rotarians had contributed $8,900.00. The total of these two: Kettles, $5,073.62, and Rotarian
contributions, $8,900.00, amounts, thus far, Io $13,973.62; GRIFF received additional Salvation Army envelopes with over $1,000.00 which will be forwarded to DAVE for an official report. ANN and JERRY will have an
official report within the next two or three weeks; Salvation Army Committee's goal was to have 150 members, 56%, make a contribution, thus far 112, 41%, have participated. THERE IS STILL TIME TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION!

Stinson, Columbian Park Zoo, ELAINE CUE, Chair, Vocational Projects Committee, and Renee Pritchett, distributed celebration whistles and poppers to the tables. Jodi had three guests from the zoo, a hedgehog, a snake,
and a bird, which she told about and allowed the young people, who for the most part were seated on the floor down front, to see, touch, and ask questions. STEVE closed the meeting with those in attendance singing
