AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARS COMMITTEE (Committee) NOTICE: TERRY WEST, Co-Chair, announced that completed applications from our candidates are due on February 22nd at 5:00 p.m. and personal interviews for finalists are
scheduled for Saturday a.m., March 3rd from 8:30 a.m. until Noon. TERRY plans to notify the applicants on February 27th whether or not they will be invited to the personal interviews on March 3rd.
"SINGING FOR GREATER LAFAYETTE" (Co-chaired by DAVE LUHMAN and BOB GRIFFITHS), the annual cooperative effort on the part of Rotary and the Purdue
Musical Organizations (PMO) to raise money for a community project is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 2001 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. This will
be Rotary's only fund raising event for the year and it will be in support of Lafayette Habitat for Humanity. Marketing (Co-chairs BOB BROCK and JERRY COLE);
Sponsors (Chair, DON GENTRY); and Promotion (Co-chairs, DICK HOLTZ and JIM HANKS) Subcommittees are already functioning. Sponsor signup sheets, canary
yellow, have been at tables the last few meetings, sponsor donations/contributions must be in by Tuesday, March 6th , should individuals/companies wish to have their

Purdue University, The Land Grant University of the Twenty First Century - "The Engaged University" in three major arenas: (1) Engagement, which he covered on February 6th; (2) Discovery,
last week by Prof. Bashir; and today (3) Learning, covered by Dr. Gary Bertoline, Head, Department of Computer Graphics, whom he introduced. Dr. Bertoline made a most interesting presentation
about the Purdue Digital Enterprise Center and the use of digital graphics in the future. A set of slide information utilized by Dr. Bertoline is available.
