School of Veterinary Science, Purdue, will speak on "Why joints last only 70 years." Dr. Van Sickle joined the staff at Purdue in 1961 and has a D.V.M. degree from Iowa State (1966) and Ph.D. degree from Purdue (1966).

died on Monday, September 10th. A BIG THANKS to daughter-in-law, Linda Griffith, for coming over to the house last night and typing the balance of this issue of the "Ripples." The old left-hand is not too
good, probably due to the stroke (my neurologist, Dr. Scott W. Hoyer, indicated that according to an MRI, a moderate to severe stroke had occurred), so at about 7:00 p.m. last evening, when typing on "Ripples" was not
going too well, Linda volunteered to come over and finish it. ALSO, A BIG THANKS to JO WADE, GENE COURTANEY, MIKE FRAMPTON, and DICK BARTHOLOMEW for "coverin" for me during the past two weeks. I feel the
process is back to normal at this time, pending cooperation of the left-hand (any errors you see, just blame them on the left-hand). ANNOUNCEMENTS COMMUNITY SERVICE Projects COMMITTEE Meeting - FRITZ COHEN, Chair, would like a
