Vocational Service Committee meeting after the regular meeting on December 17th.There will be an information committee meeting at 1:00 after the regular meeting December 17th. Sponsors need to contact their
prospective member and let JANE know if you plan to attend. The January Birthdays received a letter, which (through the magic of word- processing) had a line that was not updated. It should have read "You
either have or will be hearing from January Birthday Table chair, BILL BAUMGARDT, with pertinent �" Apologies for the error. The Raffle for Eradicate Polio brought in $114.00 today. $57.00 goes
to the Rotary International Eradicate Polio Fund, $28.50 went to the winning ticket number (PAUL POST who donated it back to Eradicate Polio Fund) and $28.50 was added to the kettle for the person who draws the Ace of
Spades. A $25,000 goal was set by the Board of Directors for our club to raise by June 30, 2003 for RI's Polio Eradication project. This will go toward the $80 Million needed to be able to declare the world free
of this dreadful disease by 2005. Contributions will be gratefully received at any time. SANDY PEARLMAN thanks those who participated in our Community Service Project where we helped the YWCA Women's

Purdue research on the intestines of pigs has turned into a real manufacturing business. Small intestine submucosa produces a matrix upon which cells will grow. This matrix is now being used
to help human bodies heal wounds and repair soft tissue. This technology has proved successful in hernia repairs, burns, pressure ulcers, cartilage and skin wounds. Research continues on venus valve repair.
