EULOGY
Dave Bough gave a very nice Eulogy about JAMES (Jim) IRVINE who passed away at his home the last week of July. JIM was a Lafayette Rotarian for 20 years and a golden service contributor to the Lafayette Rotary Foundation. He will be missed.

TED WOLFE introduced Cindy Svajgr (pronounced Swager)
executive Director of the YWCA in Lafayette. She made a very interesting
presentation about the role of the YWCA as a source of education, outreach,
support and access for the women of 12 counties concerning cancer. She
noted that the majority of people they help work and "are really trying".
They also get a great deal of help from people who believe in the project
like those who provide over 40 hours per week of volunteer time.
Canines for Cancer is one of many projects used to raise money for the program. |  |
