TED WOLFE introduced Li-Fen Chang, M.D., PhD. Radiation Oncologist with the Oncology Institute whose father is a Rotarian in Taiwan. She gave us a very detailed presentation complete with photos relating to advancements in radiation technology in the treatment of cancer. By splitting the beam and using computer design capabilities they are able to attack the tumor with a minimum of damage to healthy organs. An impressive cure rate with good quality of life is the result. |
