FAMILY NEWS:

Aiden David Koch was born this past Saturday to DAVE SATTLER'S daughter Sarah and son-in-law Jon Koch in Redwood City, CA. "He's a keeper!"

PROGRAM:



GORDON KINGMA, chair for September programs, had some interesting facts about the Chamber of Commerce (founded in 1927) and community leaders from the early days. He introduced the current Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Mike Gibson, who gave us an overview of the organization. The Chamber board meets once a month and has six employees including Rotarian DANA SMITH who is the Chamber's President. The board has four officers, twenty voting and nine ex officio members. The activities of the Chamber are divided into six divisions: Business and Industry; Community Projects; Education; Government Affairs; Infrastructure; and Membership. Mike requested that a donation be made to the Lafayette Rotary Foundation in lieu of a Rotary Brass Wheel.
