    • The Rotary Club of Columbus has received an extension on License Plate sales. Anyone still interested in having one should pick up the form at the back desk.

    • ELECTION OF BOARD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS FOR 2003/2004: The slate was accepted by acclimation. The new officers are: Pres.- TOM SCHMIDT, Pres Elect - SUSAN HYCHKA, V. Pres. - JAN KOEHLER, Treas. - ERNIE POLAND, Asst. Treas. - JOHN TROTT, Exec. Secretary - JANE TURNER. Board Members: LETA KELLEY, MARIELLEN NEUDECK, GORDON COPPOC, WARREN STEVENSON. Foundation Board - VIRGIL ST. JOHN.

    • ANN PIECHOTA, Salvation Army chair reminded all that there are still 5 locations needing "ringers". Most are the 4-6 shift. Call Ann if you could help. And get your Bell Ringer envelope turned in. Preferably with a large check in it. ANN also eminded us that the Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army is THIS SATURDAY - DECEMBER 6! She will contact those staffing Sam's Club, Target and the east side Wal Mart to make sure they know where to go.

    BIRTHDAY TABLE:

    BARBARA HANSEN introduced the Rotarians having birthdays in December and announced that $2,950 had been received in contributions to date.

    PROGRAM:

    Lt. Governor Kathy Davis was introduced by Joe Micon. Governor Joe Kernan appointed Davis in October after the untimely death of Governor O'Bannon. Davis reviewed some new things that are happening in state government. Including the reorganization of the Dept of Commerce, recent tax restructuring and "Opportunity Indiana". This is a program to help local companies do business with state government. She followed her remarks with questions from the club.
