    • Again this week, STEVE STUCKY donated two tickets to a Purdue Basketball Game to be auctioned off. We also had a shawl from Africa that TOM FISHER gave us to use for fund raising. Thanks to STEVE for his contribution and to MARNE HELGESEN and DOROTHY LIGHT for being high bidders.

    PROGRAM:

BILL HATFIELD introduced fellow Rotarian and West Lafayette Mayor JAN MILLS. JAN has a BS in Entomology from Iowa State and worked as a research technician in the Bio Chemistry Department at Purdue. Her service to the community on boards and councils and committees prior to becoming mayor is impressive.
She spoke to us about projects in many of the city departments that are in the works or are planned for the near future. Beginning with snow removal equipment for trails and ending with sidewalk and curb improvement, the list also included Wabash Landing, Sagamore Parkway and neighborhood preservation work. She will be putting in long days to complete this "to do" list!
