He noted that the sum of Foundation giving and individual Rotarian contributions totaled over $100,000 to that impressive restoration project.

    CONGRATULATIONS:

The Foundation's ability to make these commitments depends on the generosity of our members. BARB HANSEN and RAY KAVANAUGH have reached Golden Service levels of giving and were presented with certificates and gold badges
    .
    NEW MEMBER PROPOSAL:

The Board of Directors approved Ken Thompson, administrator of St. Anthony Health Care, sponsored by ADRIENNE BOUGH, for membership. Unless there is objection from members, he will be introduced in the near future.

    PROGRAM:

JIM FOSTER, program chair for February, introduced Cheryl Suter who organizes volunteers for both Home Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center (Greater Lafayette Health Services). More than 500 volunteers are appreciated at these facilities. There is an application process to volunteer (TB and Rubella tests required) and a one day orientation session. The volunteer is then matched with an area of expertise and interest. She encouraged all of us to become a volunteer at one of the hospitals.

    PRESIDENT BETTY'S WISDOM:
    Robert Frost once said:
"The world is filled with willing people, some willing to work, the rest willing to let them."

My comment: Let's hope we are in the first group.
