    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

    • ELSA JANLE announced that nominations are being accepted for Vocational Service Award. Nominations are due by February 28 and should be sent to ELSA or JANE.

    • STELLA BATAGIANNIS, Community Service Projects committee chair, announced that the committee has been working and would meet after lunch today to discuss possible activities.

    • The next Shots Not Spots will be March 23rd at the Community Health Clinic. The sign up sheet is on the Bulletin Board.

    • SMALL GROUP DINNERS: Mark your calendars and make reservations with ADRIENNE BOUGH
      • Sunday, March 28 at 5:30 p,m. at DAVID and ADRIENNE BOUGH'S home

    • SUSAN HYCHKA announced that we have an opportunity to serve in the Vocational Service area by helping at the PRF Job Fair, March 2nd from 9 - 4. Sign up sheet is on the Bulletin Board.

    • TERRY WEST, chair of the Ambassadorial Scholars committee, announced that the committee is in the process of selecting a candidate to go be presented at the District level. The call-out is this afternoon at 3:30. The deadline for applicants is February 25th. For forms, contact TERRY or JANE.

    PROGRAM:

    JIM FOSTER introduced Harry Brown, Executive Director of the Volunteer Bureau since December of 1999. Founded in 1970 by Lucile Eddy,The Volunteer Bureau's mission is to make the community a better place to live for everybody. Funded by United Way and individual gifts, the Bureau acts as a matchmaker between people who want to help and the 140 non- profit organizations that need volunteer help. They also act as a liaison between the Boiler Volunteer Network and the community to serve Purdue Students and Staff volunteer efforts.

    MARIELLEN NEUDECK introduced Steven Lee and Jamie Curtis from West Lafayette High School. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the four- way test to commemorate meeting with us.
