    CLUB CONCERNS:

    PRESIDENT BETTY SUDDARTH, requested members/spouses to keep the following in their thoughts and prayers: JOHN and EUDORA MC KEE; FAE SPURLOCK; Marjorie spouse of DICK WALKER, BOB WILKINSON and VIRGIL ST. JOHN who had surgery last week in Pheonix.

    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

    • There will be a meeting of the Scholarship/Citizenship Committee next Tuesday (April 6) after the meeting. Please contact BOB HANNEMANN is you are unable to attend.

    • Four tickets are available for the Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre production of Godspell on April 3rd. Cost is $48.50 each. Please contact ADRIENNE BOUGH.

    • Nominations for Rotarian of the Year are being accepted. Forms for this award, which is presented at the Annual Dinner, are available from JANE.

    • A Paul Harris Luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn North on May 6th. Cost is $20.00. All Paul Harris Fellows are welcome to attend. Those interested should contact BETTY for more information.

    • President BETTY announced the District Conference to be held in Muncie the weekend of April 16 - 18. You can get more information by clicking on http://rotary6560.org or contacting JANE.

    • Rotary License plates are still available. Of the $25.00 extra you will pay to have this special identification, $15.00 returns to our club. This is a fairly painless way to support Rotary and to demonstrate your pride in belonging to one of the world's finest organizations.


    PROGRAM:

    March program chair, DAVE LAHR, introduced Karen Wolford, Chief Executive Officer of the Sycamore Girl Scout Council. Karen was assisted by Kitty Brooks, Director of Development. Girl Scouts serves girls from ages 5 to 17. The three "C's" we're all familiar with are Cookies, Camping and Crafts. The "C's" Karen talked about today include Community Service, Confidence, Character and great Conduct. Rotary provides one campership for a girl to attend Girl Scout camp each summer, one of many programs to help girls grow strong in body, mind and spirit. Internationally, nine million girls are Girl Scouts and Girl Guides.

    LIZ SOLBERG introduced Tracie DeMarr and Kyle Speakman from McCutcheon High School. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the four- way test to commemorate meeting with us.
