    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

    • MIKE PIGGOTT reminded us that the National Youth Sports Program provides a dynamic experience for needy boys and girls in our community. The reward for perfect attendance is a new bicycle. Last year Rotary provided a bicycle through the generous contributions in the baskets placed on the tables. We have the baskets available again today to receive your gifts for this important program.

    • BILL HATFIELD announced that our District's Centennial Project will be to support Riley Hospital. There will be a picnic with the Thunderbirds at Mt. Comfort Airport on Friday July 30th, 6 - 9 P.M. The $35 ticket will get you a meal catered by St. Elmo's Steak House and Marsh Supermarkets, a social hour which includes ramp time to view a B-17, a P-38, and many other warbirds and special unique planes. Following the meal, four former Thurderbirds who have reached the rank of General will have time to speak. All proceeds go to Riley Hospital. Please contact BILL for tickets.

    • More District News: The Rotary Club of Fishers invites all Rotarians to join them Friday June 25th at 6 P.M. at Oak Hill Mansion, Carmel, to honor outgoing District Governor Karin Blue and to install Governor-Elect Don Phelan. Cost is $35. Please RSVP by June 18th to Diane Eaton at 317- 557-5767 or balmoralclub@aol.com

    • The Rotary year ends June 30th. Any contributions you can make to The Rotary Foundation by that time will be credited to our club and help support GSE teams and Ambassadorial Students.

    • A reception for new members will be held June 23rd, from 5 - 8 P.M. at BETTY SUDDARTH'S home. New members since December and their sponsors should mark your calendars!

    • June is "Bring an Intern or Doctoral Candidate to Rotary" month

During the month of June the Rotary Club is encouraging members to treat their summer Interns or Doctoral Candidates to lunch with Rotary. This gives them the opportunity to see what Rotary is about and encourage them to look into a club when they land a job later in their lives. Please have the guest registered with JANE at the back table and they will be introduced during the meeting. JANE has a pamphlet explaining Rotary to give them. This is a great opportunity to get the word of Rotary out to the young working force. Any questions, ask DAVE LAHR, 742-6905.
