Today's contributions of food and donations for food will go to the Hanna Center. During and after World War II, Rotarians became increasingly involved in promoting international understanding. In 1945, 49 Rotary members served in 29 delegations to the United Nations Charter Conference. Rotary still actively participates in UN conferences by sending observers to major meetings and promoting the United Nations in Rotary publications.

    PROGRAM:
SYSAN HYCHKA introduced Sidney Pellessier, a man of many interests and talents including the French language, theater and fitness. PRESIDENT TOM'S WISDOM:

Unplanned physical fitness took place as a traveler wrote about his experience: While waiting to board a Delta flight at gate 35 an announcement was made stating that our flight would soon be changing its gate location and would be boarding at gate 41.

My family gathered up all its baggage and moved along to gate 41. It wasn't long until the announcement was made that our gate location was again changed and we would be boarding our plane at gate 35, back to our original departure gate.

We again picked up our baggage and made our way to gate 35. After a couple of minutes of getting back to gate 35 and settling in. the announcement was made by Delta personnel; "Welcome to Delta's physical fitness program!"
