    VOCATIONAL MOMENT:

ANN HUNT, born in a suburb of St. Louis, had a mom who worked and who wrote poetry. Her dad was a baseball fan. Her education as a nurse spanned several years, making her the oldest student in her classes. A 1992 NIH post-doctoral experience at Washington University changed her life. She retired from Purdue in 2000 and now enjoys gardening and serving on the West Lafayette City Council. From baseball to patients to sewers, it's an interesting life! And ANN is an interesting person!!!

    PROGRAM:
FRITZ COHEN introduced Howard Taylor, director of Recreational Sports at Purdue. Having worked for several universities, he has been at Purdue six months and is very excited about being here and the unbelievably active students. The program helps students with fitness/wellness for life; constructive use of free time; stress relief; and leadership and personal development. The facilities include Colby Fitness Center, the Aquatic Center and 126 acres of space, which are available to all students, faculty, staff and some guests.
