    ROTARY FACT:

What we Rotarians do in our weekly meetings has ripple effects beyond those who attend. Bruce Hetrick writes a weekly column for the Indianapolis Business Journal. His column for the week of Nov 28 - Dec 4 begins by stating that his son Zach was named a Student Rotarian and invited to be honored by the downtown Rotary Club in Fort Wayne. His father went along and was struck by the 4-Way Test banner. He proceeded to devote his column to the four-way test and how elected officials might make better decisions if they applied the four principles: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? There will be copies of this column at Jane's table next week for those who want to read the entire piece.

    PRESIDENT SUSAN'S WISDOM:

In the supermarket was a man pushing a cart which contained a screaming, bellowing baby. The gentleman kept repeating softly, "Don't get excited, Albert; don't scream, Albert; don't yell, Albert; keep calm, Albert." A woman standing next to him said, "You certainly are to be commended for trying to soothe your son."The man looked at her and said, "Lady, I'm Albert."
