with a dinner at Puccini's at 6:00 on Sunday, December 11. All Rotarians are

Nominations will be accepted from the membership, but must be in the hand s of the Nominations Committee by Friday, December 16, 2005. Each nomination must have written support of two (2) additional members and the written consent of the nominee. Elections will be December 20, 2005 - Every Rotarian Every Year for The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International: Our latest numbers: $7,573 from 73 contributors (32%), a per capita contribution to the Annual Programs Fund of $32.93.
BIRTHDAY TABLE:
MICHAEL HUNT introduced the Rotarians celebrating a birthday in December and reported that so far this generous group has contributed $2,316 to Rotary causes.
ROTARY FACT:
Rotary International's Membership Development Division conducted a survey on club activity recently and reported these results: The average Rotary club carried out 44 community and 12.6 international projects in the last 10 years.
Each community project required approximately 14.3 volunteers and 140.3 hours of work, and each international project required 8.2 people and 131.2 hours.
PROGRAM:
| AL CHINSON introduced Ambassadorial Scholar, LiTing Huang, from Taiwan. She is a management major in the Krannert School of Management. LiTing is happy, as an Ambassadorial Scholar to promote international understanding and peace. She volunteered with her Rotary Club in Taiwan last summer, a concept she learned here. After graduation she will continue to volunteer and promote goodwill. Her introduction to Taiwan was most interesting, including facts about the flag, national blossom, general elections, population and area (about the size of Maryland with 23 million people!), food and night markets. All of this information was accompanied by beautiful graphics and photos. |
