    EVERY ROTARIAN EVERY YEAR:

In support of the Annual Programs Fund of Rotary International, our club committed to $100 per person. It is important that every member contribute something. SUSAN urged members to make a contribution, even if it is less than $100. The GSE Teams and Ambassadorial Scholars are supported by these funds.

    VOCATIONAL MOMENT:

SUSAN SMITH told us the vocation she is most proud of is being the mother of two and the grandmother of 3. She graduated from high school in Louisville, KY, from Chapman College in CA in 1975 and received a masters from Texas A & M in 1977. In 1979 she came to Lafayette and worked for Family Services, where she is now President and CEO. SUSAN was the second female to be invited to join Rotary and is active in many local organizations.

    PROGRAM:
SUSAN introduced Sallie Fahey, Executive Director of the Area Plan Commission, who gave us a fast version of Planning 101. She heads a staff of 15 and coordinates six member jurisdictions. The difference between the Comprehensive Long Range Plan and Ordinances was explained. A hand-out showing housing and job statistics showed there was an apartment boom in 2000; there is a single family home boom now; and there has been a loss of 4,000 jobs since 2001. Sallie predicts that housing prices will stabilize and that we have hit the bottom for lost jobs.

    VALENTINE'S DAY IDEA:

    Dear Rotarian,

What are you giving YOUR Valentine for Valentines Day???

Here's a great idea! Why not give your Valentine a $100 donation to The Rotary Foundation? It's a lasting gift, and one that shows that your heart is in just the right place.

And here's a very special Valentines Day deal just for you! For every $100 gift you make, District 6560 will match it with an equal number of Paul Harris Fellow points! That's right! It's a 2 for 1 deal. That's 200 PHF points for every $100 you give. Not limited to Rotarians. Add to your spouse's Paul Harris Fellow account. Start your kids on the road to becoming Paul Harris Fellows. And, while you're at it, add a $100 gift to your account as well!

    Are there any limitations?

    Just 3 (the small print):
    1. This offer is limited to personal donations only. That means only gifts made with personal or business checks will be matched. Checks drawn on club accounts will be not be matched.
    2. This offer is limited to $100 per person. But, you can give $100 to as many people as you like.
    3. Your donation must be postmarked no later than February 14, 2006 (Valentines Day, which is the point of the gift to begin with.)

Send your check and contribution details to:

Rotary District 6560 Treasurer Jim Estep
    P.O. Box 42.
    Muncie , Indiana 47308
