    • Committee Selection forms are available at the back table. We need one from each of you.

    • There will be no Annual Dinner this year. Due to decreasing interest for the last several years the Committee decided to cancel the event. We will do all of the usual annual recognitions at our regular meeting on June 27th. This will be a longer than usual meeting, so please block 11:30 - 1:30 p.m. on your calendar that day.

    • Junior Achievement is looking for volunteers. This is a Vocational Project of this Club. Anyone who can help should contact JAN.

    • Seventeen Lafayette Rotary Club members and family members took part in last weekend's District conference in Muncie. We had a good time and brought back many good ideas. Lafayette was honored as one of the clubs with a Matching Grant project. Our Haiti project, thanks to the tireless efforts of JACK KELLEY, has all required signatures on the proper forms and is now awaiting a project number from RI. We have received contributions of $2,560 toward our goal. To ensure that your checks are processed efficiently, make contributions payable to Lafayette Rotary Foundation and note in the memo line "Haiti Water Wells." Rotarians who attended the District conference may request reimbursement of $100 in conference expenses. Present a conference or hotel receipt or other documentation to ELSA JANLE or JANE.

    • Dues are due by May 1. You should have a dues statement in your in box. Please consider including your Every Rotarian Every Year contribution to support great programs like Ambassadorial Scholars and Group Study Exchange and a contribution to the Lafayette Rotary Foundation to support vocational and high school scholarships, area camperships, and other community projects.

    PRESIDENT SUSAN'S WISDOM:

You're getting old when you don't care where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along.

You know you're into middle age when you realize that caution is the only thing you care to exercise.

You're getting old when getting lucky means you find your car in the parking lot.

Statistics show that at the age of seventy, there are five women to every man. Isn't that the darndest time for a guy to get those odds?
