    -I would study more history.

What events/experiences have most shaped your life?
-Growing up in a stable with a loving family where both my mother and father encouraged my brother, sister and I to do our best and follow our dreams.
-The typical Midwestern town of Kokomo allowed me to believe in the goodness and fairness of others and helped me to view life with an optimistic attitude.

Do you know any hidden treasures in the Lafayette area?
-I am amazed at the geology found in the Attica area around Portland Arch and the potholes; they are truly hidden.

What is the one thing missing from the Lafayette area?
-We really need to take more advantage of our river. I hate to see it so commercialized and have no continuous walking area or riverfront parks.

When did you join Rotary and why?
-I joined January 31, 1989. I knew that Rotary was active in the community and the world with humanitarian projects and I wanted to be a part of that.

Penney's Golden Rule award committee. I served, both as a member and chair, of the communications and the community services committees of the Purdue University Retirees Association.

Who have you sponsored as a member and who sponsored you?
-I sponsored Joyce Hall and Betty Nelson sponsored me.

What is one thing you would like Lafayette Rotary to do/tackle?
-I would like Rotary to become involved in the riverfront beautification in a big way. I have seen Rotary Parks in other localities and wish we could do something lasting like this for our community.
