    VOCATIONAL MOMENT:
STEVE PENNELL started life in Cheyenne, WY, but has spent the rest of it in Indiana. After meeting and marrying his wife Diana at Indiana University they moved to Lafayette in 1976 when he went to work for Stuart and Branigin. Inspired by watching Perry Mason as a child, he chose to be an attorney specializing in civil defense law. STEVE clearly enjoys helping clients defend themselves in court and the travel associated with some of his client's needs. That enjoyment of his profession and his commitment to handle cases in an efficient manner has brought him professional recognition

    PROGRAM:
JO WADE introduced Becky Skillman, the 50th Lt. Governor of the State of Indiana. On January 10, 2005, she was sworn in as the first woman elected to the position of Lt. After taking a minute to acknowledge and introduce her partners in the legislature from our area - Ron Alting, Sheila Klinker and JOE MICON - she announced that Indiana is on it's way to economic recovery. She discussed the role tourism plays in that economic recovery and highlighted the new slogan, which brands Indiana: Restart Your Engines.

    PRESIDENT SUSAN'S WISDOM:

Two tourists were driving through Indiana. As they were approaching Terre Haute, they started arguing about the pronunciation of the town. They argued back and forth until they stopped for lunch. As they stood at the counter, one tourist asked the employee, "Before we order, could you please settle an argument for us? Would you please pronounce where we are... very slowly?" The girl leaned over the counter and said, "Burrrrrrrr, gerrrrrrr, Kiiiiing."
