On
Saturday September 26th, Bicentennial Park at Nevada Way and Colorado Streets in
Boulder City is the place to be. The Boulder City Sunrise Rotary WurstFest
evokes Boulder City’s community spirit with a full day of family fun. All 50
plus Sunrise Rotarians, families and friends will host the annual event and are
expecting record crowds from all over the valley, to enjoy classic cars, silent
and live auctions, lots of entertainment and great, great food.
If you have new or like new auctionable items, we are filling our storage unit now. We would like furniture, jewelry, artwork, bikes, even that vehicle you have not been able to sell, can be tax deductible.
The Hustlers, Classic Car show starts at 10 am. The Sunrise Rotary Bratgrillers will be serving up brats, hot dogs and thirst quenching drinks from 11 am to 11 pm.
The
Dummkopfs crank up the accordions for their oompah musical comedy routines from
11 till 3 pm.
The silent auction from 1 to 3 where you can bid on gifts donated from valley merchants, dinner tickets, art, jewelry, lots of miscellaneous great stuff at a price you can afford.
The live auction from 4 to 6 pm will have vacation, hotel and dinner packages, airfare, a mini organ, artwork, autographed sports memorabilia, another chance for you and your friends to experience making wine at Grape Expectations, possibly vehicles plus you can call for more information on the rebuilt 1989 Harley Davidson to be auctioned, it’s a great find. Quite often Rotary auctioneers Rich Baughman and Doug Scheppmann are in costume. Bring your own chair to be assured of seating.
The beer booth will have a new look this year with shaded seating provided and an added brew from the local Brew Pub.
Tommy Rocker and the Conched Out Band will entertain from 7 pm to 11 pm in the street.
All proceeds help fund the giving back to the community efforts Sunrise Rotary is proud of including, the all night graduation party.

Boulder City is “A World away for a Day”. Sunrise Rotary invites you to join us for the WurstFest, enjoy a walking tour of the 31 bronze and art pieces displayed in the historic district by Boulder City Public Art Scape and the City of Boulder City. Also, Connie Burnett Ferraro has just finished another beautiful mural on the side of one of the buildings in the downtown area and don’t forget to visit the museum and shops at the Boulder Dam Hotel.
