The 6th Rotarian Week of Ibla Baroque

Dear Friend,

We invite you to attend at the 6th Annual Rotarian Week organized by the IBla Baroque Rotary Club to be held in Ragusa (South-eastern Sicily) between the 8th and 15th of May 2010. Aptly named the Rotarian week of Ibla Baroque, the event intends to introduce this beautiful part of Baroque Sicily, recognized by the UNESCO as a patrimony of humanity, to the Rotarians of the whole world.

The program begins upon your arrival at Catania airport on Saturday 8th May, and finishes with your departure from Catania, Saturday 15th May. Included in your stay is a double-occupancy room at the hotel Best Western Mediterranean Palace Hotel (€ 1000,00 double room, € 1150,00 single room, € 900,00 for the third sleep) a block’s distance from the city center. The price includes transfer fees to and from Catania airport, full room and board – including drinks at meals, guided bus tours, the gala performance, as well as medical insurance “physicians non-stop”. It is not included the entry to the Greek theater in Syracuse (€ 43,00). Representatives will be at your service during your entire stay to include guides and assistants for every group.

This is a non profit initiative. Any profits will be given to the Rotary Foundation, while any losses will be charged to our club.

Bookings

Participation is limited to 120 persons. The bookings may take place prior March 15th 2010 or until complete, using the form published on the site www.rotaryragusa.it , in order to be confirmed by our organization. The participants will have to send, within fifteen days from confirmation, a down payment of € 300,00 per person. The remaining fee to be submitted prior to 3th May 2010. Payments may only be made by direct deposit into the account at the Banca Agricola Popolare di Ragusa, Ragusa Agency n° 4, Account IT86V0503617004CC0040307900 COD. BIC. POPRIT 31004 Intermed’s s.r.l. name.

Be advised, transportation to and from your departure point to Catania, Italy, is not included. However, very affordable ticket pricing can be made available through Herea Tours upon request.

FAR WEST RECEPTION TICKETS ONLINE

Tickets to this year’s Far West Reception during the Rotary International Convention in Montreal will only be available online. To register go to www.RotaryZones2526.org/events.html or use the link on the District’s website.

The Far West Reception will prove to be one of the many highlights of the Rotary International Convention in Montreal, Canada, June 20-23, 2010. It will be held on Monday, June 21 from 5-7 PM at the Montreal Science Center Perspective 235° Hall in Old Monterey. Vive l’Amitié (Long Live Friendship) will be hosted by R.I. Director John Blount and his wife, Patti, and be an opportunity for Rotarians from the Western United States to gather and connect. Tickets cost $40 per person and include canapés, one drink, and entertainment.

Since this event takes place in Old Montreal, a number of us from District 5300 plan to gather afterwards at one of the noted dining spots. More information to follow.
