A member since 1973 and past president of the Rotary Club of Morristown, NJ, Mr. Coultas is past District Governor of Rotary International District 7470 and served as a member of the Rotary International Board of Directors from 1996-98, serving as Chairman of the Executive Committee in 1998. He has served Rotary International many times as a President's representative, President's Rotary Information Counselor, International Assembly group discussion leader , Zone Institute group leader, member of a Rotary International task force, Vice Chair of the San Antonio Convention Committee, member of the Nominating Committee for President, chair of the 2001-02 Rotary Centennial Planning Committee, UN Delegation and Diplomatic Relations Committee, International Institute Moderator and a Rotary Foundation Regional Coordinator. In addition he has served as aide to President Richard D. King and Rotary International Representative to the United Nations from 1999-2011. Bob presently serves as a member of the executive committee for the Mid North East President Elect Training Committee.

Dr. Stephen L. Cochi is currently (since 2006) the Senior Advisor to the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Global Immunization Division (GID). He holds a B.S. from MIT, an M.D. from Duke University, and an M.P.H. from Emory University. Dr. Cochi completed residency training in pediatrics at the Massachusetts General Hospital and in preventive medicine at the CDC. In addition, he completed CDC's two-year Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) training program in 1984.
Dr. Cochi has spent 32 years at CDC working in the field of immunization and from 1985 to present, he served in various roles at CDC where he led and managed the U.S. immunization program and its international activities. From 1993-2003, he led CDC's global immunization activities as Director of GID, which is a major partner in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), Global Measles and Rubella Initiative (MRI), the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI Alliance), and other priority global immunization activities. Dr. Cochi served as Deputy Director of the U.S. National Immunization Program in 2003 and as Acting Director for two years from January 2004-December 2005.
Dr. Cochi has authored or co-authored more than 110 scientific journal articles, 12 letters to the editor, and 25 book chapters on vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases, and more than 150 CDC publications including Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report articles. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and a member of the American Public Health Association, Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, and American Epidemiological Society. Before joining CDC, he was a pediatrician in the Indian Health Service from 1980-1982 on the Navajo Reservation in Gallup, New Mexico. Dr. Cochi is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. |

John, a member of the Rotary Club of Chattanooga since 1976, is a leader in fund development for Rotary's polio eradication campaign, recently coordinating an effort that raised more than $228 million in response to $355 million in challenge grants from the Bill & Melinda Gates.
John is president and chief executive officer of Campbell & Associates, Inc. consulting engineers. He joined the firm as an engineer in 1965 after four years in the U.S. Air Force. He is a registered engineer licensed in 42 states as well as Canada. He serves on the boards of several organizations including the State of Tennessee Workforce Development, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and the Chattanooga State Technical Community College. In Chattanooga, he has served as president of the Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts and Junior Achievement and campaign chair of the United Way. He is president of the Tennessee Jaycee Foundation, CSTCC Foundation and Blood Assurance, Inc. Foundation. He also leads projects to assist mentally and physically challenged children and adults in Tennessee.

Karen has been a Rotarian for 23 years, first in Sterling, Illinois, and, since 1996, as a member of the Rotary Club of Maryville-Alcoa, Tennessee. She served as governor of District 6780 (Tennessee) in 2005-06.
Karen has recently been named a Rotary International Director-Nominee after having served as Rotary Coordinator for Zone 30 (2010-2013), and the General Coordinator for Rotary Foundation Alumni Coordinators worldwide (2010-2013). She served as a Rotary International Training Leader at the International Assembly in 2012 and was a member of the RI North American Membership and Retention Committee that developed the North American Membership Strategic Plan for 2012-2015. Karen has represented the Rotary International president at district conferences in the U.S. seven times. She has held several positions related to the Rotary Zone 30-31 Institutes and was General Chair in 2010. She was a founder of the six-district Mid-South PETS (Presidents-Elect Training Seminar). Karen has served on many district committees and is the Rotary Foundation chair for her club.
Karen and her Rotarian husband Ron Appuhn are passionate supporters of The Rotary Foundation and are Major Donors, Benefactors and members of the Bequest Society and Paul Harris Society. She was honored to receive The Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service in 2012. Karen was the Group Study Exchange Team Leader to England in 1999 and has guided the development of numerous Rotary Foundation Humanitarian Grants including the first District 6780 grant for water projects in Thailand. She traveled to Nigeria in December 2012 as a part of a team that immunized over 4,000 children against polio.
Karen travels extensively and has been to 54 countries and six continents including Antarctica. Her career has been in higher education and she retired in 2004 from Maryville College where she was the director of the Instructional Technology Initiative. She now devotes her time to family, travel and Rotary service.
Karen and Ron have six children between them, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Carl was vice president of Kansas City Life Insurance Company until 1976 when he established his private law practice in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, concentrating on estate planning, business law and real estate.
Carl served as District Governor of District 6040 for the 2002-2003 term, during which time he received the Presidential Citation. He was 2007 Convener for Nomination of International Director for Zones 29 and 30. He was 2010 delegate to the Council on Legislation. He is a Major Paul Harris Donor, Level 6, and Benefactor, Inaugural Class of the Paul Harris Society of District 6040, and Arch Klumph Society, Chairs Circle. He has served as Major Donor Advisor and Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator, and RI President’s Representative.
He received the District 6040 Humanitarian Award for Polio Eradication, 2010 Regional Service Award for a Polio-Free World and the Citation for Meritorious Service. He has also served as Polio Plus Chairman for District 6040 and Rotary International Polio Plus Partners Task Force Member. He participated in a National Immunization Day in India.
Carl has built two sail boats and two canoes in addition to other woodworking projects. He enjoys traveling, gardening, sailing and golfing. Between them, Carl and Jean have eight children and seventeen grandchildren. Every member of Carl’s family is a Paul Harris Fellow.
During his Rotary career, Carl has sponsored over 135 new members and the installation of three new clubs.

Mac recently retired after 40 years in public broadcasting, having worked in production, programming, development, radio, and management in Mississippi, South Carolina, Louisiana, Florida, Oklahoma, and Kentucky. As executive director of the Kentucky Network, the largest of the statewide systems in the country, the network made the transition to HD production and transmission in 2008. Mac served on all the national public broadcasting boards and served two terms as chairman of American Public Television.
A Rotarian with 25 years of Perfect Attendance, he is a member of the Rotary Club of Lexington, KY, a multiple PHF, a sustaining member. RI President Sakuji Tanaka appointed him to a three-year term as Zone 30 Public Image Coordinator. He serves on the cadre for Mid-South PETS, the Zone Institute and Success Seminars.

Greg Maciolek is president and owner of Integrated Management Resources, Inc., a Knoxville-based consulting company. He is also an Independent Associate for Priority Management. Greg is a proven executive with proven products and services that provide clients with tools to increase productivity and increase the bottom line while reducing turnover. His background as an Air Force fighter pilot and flying commander and his civilian work experience with General Motors and Ford Motor Company lends ample credibility as to how he can assist a company achieve prime performance. Additionally, Greg commanded a military educational center for four years that included creating and providing for distance learning programs. His insights into leadership, management, communications, performance feedback and hiring and retaining the right person for the job all combine into making Greg a top consultant to businesses. He is a contributing author to nine books.
Greg is currently the RI Zone 30 Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator, District 6780 Communications Committee Chair, and was president three times of the Rotary Club of Knoxville Breakfast. He also is the District 6780 Assistant Governor Coordinator. Greg lives in Knoxville.
