 A member of the New London Rotary since ‘04, Geraldine “Gerry” has served on numerous positions in the club including 2010-11 President and has served as club Secretary since 2011. She’s a multiple Paul Harris Fellow; a member Rotary Paul Harris and Bequest Societies and is a Major Donor. Gerry also serves her club as Co-Chair of Brewfest, the clubs semi-annual major fundraiser, as Interact advisor at Bennie Jackson Dover Middle School and is the Chairperson of Camp Rotary, a summer camp that serves 125, plus New London youth.  Gerry has been recognized by her club with "Distinguished Service Award" Paul Harris recognition as well as the recipient of the club’s 28th annual “Carl Wies Award” in recognition of “outstanding contributions” to the club. She served District 7980 as Assistant Governor, and was named the Assistant Governor of the Year 2012-2013, as well as a recipient of RI’s Club Builder Award.

 Gerry earned her MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her BS Business Administration from Eastern Connecticut State University.

 Besides Rotary, Gerry’s other passion is animal rights and animal welfare. She has served as president of the Animal Rescue Fund, Inc. since ’01.

 She also serves the community as Allocations Committee volunteer for the United Way of Southeastern CT and serves as Silent Auction Chair of TVCCA's major fundraiser; “Carnival” to benefit the Meals on Wheels program.

 She is a member of Toastmasters International, having served as Treasurer and Vice President Membership in recent years.

 Gerry is Co-Owner and General Manager of Barry's Cleaners, Inc. and is the Managing Partner, HW Properties, LLC

 Gerry lives in Niantic with her two beautiful and loving cats, Shannon O’Hanlon and Esmerelda.
